- Once the project is approved, you will receive an email notification and may then post the project to DonorsChoose.org.
Donation Requirements
Any individual items over $500 must be added to the school’s inventory and be barcoded. Technology equipment delivered to the school must be added to the school’s technology inventory and be barcoded. Instructions for barcoding DonorsChoose items are included at the end of this document.
*Please Note: DonorsChoose.org is now notifying the Fiscal Department when UUSD projects are posted to DonorsChoose.org and when projects are fully funded.
In addition to UUSD procedures, DonorsChoose.org has established its own set of procedures published on www.DonorsChoose.org. Learn them, keep your Principal up-to-date on your status, and be compliant with the program.
Process for Barcoding DonorsChoose.org Items
- DonorsChoose.org alerts the school’s Principal and the registered teacher in advance of every shipment via fax and email. The teacher must sign and date the delivery slip as received and send to Accounts Payable in Fiscal Services for barcoding. The items themselves can remain at the campus during this process.
- Fiscal will send the barcode(s) to the site secretary for application or the Technology Department will come to the campus and apply the barcode(s) to the item(s)
- For technology like tablets and laptops, setup must wait until the barcodes have been properly applied.
