Translation

Websites now have built-in translation options, changing the need to have a Google Translate widget embedded somewhere in the site. Consequently, Google has discontinued support for the widget.

In most cases, users will have their system set up in their native language, including computers and smartphones so there is no need to select a specific translation option.

If a user needs to translate a website in a language other than their native settings, they select from the three vertical dots in the upper right-hand of the URL window.

A dropdown menu will appear. Scroll down to “Translate” and a new window will open showing the detected language.

Click on the three vertical dots in that menu, and select “Choose another language” and your language of choice.

Repeat the process to return to the native language.
