WHAT IS THE EAP?
The Employee Assistance Program (EAP) provides FREE counseling assistance to you and members of your household. It helps you with problems and questions, big or small.  To learn more about the EAP or utilize their services, you can call 24 hours a day, every day.  Their phone number - 800-999-7222 - can be found on the back of your health insurance card or at www.anthemeap.com.

HOW CAN THE EAP HELP ME?
When you or a household member contacts the EAP, they'll work with you to figure out the next steps. If you need counseling, they can arrange six FREE visits per concern with a licensed counseling professional in your area.  You can receive counseling for an unlimited number of concerns per year.  You choose the counselor you'd like to see from their network of providers and make an appointment.  These counseling visits are 100% covered by the EAP.

So long as you have health insurance through UUSD, the EAP covers these visits.  The EAP also provides services to anyone living in your household.  These other household members do not have to be enrolled in your health insurance to be covered by the EAP; any child, partner, or elderly parent that living with you is eligible for EAP services.
WHAT WILL MY EMPLOYER KNOW IF I USE THE EAP?
Nothing.  The EAP is managed by Anthem Blue Cross, and your information is kept confidential.

HOW DO I USE THE EAP WEBSITE?
