As you know, temperatures will be extremely high this week. Students and staff will remain indoors as much as practical and limit outdoor activities to low impact. A few things:

Potential for Rolling Brownouts

We have been notified that there is the potential for rolling brownouts in our area between 4:00 and 10:00 p.m. today and tomorrow. A power loss at this late time in the afternoon will not affect many school-related activities, but we need to be ready to shift with any changing circumstances.

Traffic

While picking up students, please yield and let buses enter traffic immediately. It is important that we are able to get our buses out on the road on time to minimize the amount of time our children spend on the bus in the heat.

Please hydrate, check on your neighbors and friends, and remember to send your kids to school with a reusable water bottle if possible. Se nos ha notificado que existe la posibilidad de apagones continuos en nuestra área entre las 4:00 de la tarde y las 10:00 de la nochey hoy y mañana. Una pérdida de electricidad a esta hora de la tarde no afectará muchas actividades escolares, pero debemos estar preparados para cualquier cambio de circunstancias.

Tráfico

Mientras recoge a los estudiantes, ceda el paso y deje que los autobuses ingresen al tráfico de inmediato para minimizar el tiempo que nuestros estudiantes pasan en el autobús cuando hace calor.
