Ukiah Unified School District is updating its Facilities Master Plan (FMP) to qualify for new state funding available through Proposition 2, approved by voters in 2024.
Proposition 2 provides grants to help school districts modernize classrooms, improve safety, and reduce reliance on aging portable buildings – without issuing new local bonds. To access this funding, districts must have a current Facilities Master Plan approved by their governing board.
Ukiah Unified’s updated plan will guide the next five years of school improvement projects and align with the District’s Strategic Plan goal of creating future-ready schools and classrooms.
The District is asking staff, parents, and community members to share their ideas and priorities for the future of local schools at upcoming public input sessions held at the Pomolita Middle School Library:
- Monday, November 3, 4:00 PM – Staff Session
- Monday, November 3, 6:00 PM – Community Session (English)
- Tuesday, November 4, 6:00 PM – Community Session (Spanish)
Join the conversation and help shape Ukiah Unified’s plan for safe, modern, and inspiring learning spaces.
