Native American/Title VI Information

Our district is proud to partner with Native American families in honoring culture, supporting student success, and building a strong sense of belonging. The Native American Parent Advisory Committee provides parents and guardians with a meaningful voice in shaping programs and services that benefit Native American students. By joining the committee, families can help guide our efforts to improve academic achievement, strengthen cultural identity, and ensure every student has the support they need to thrive in school and beyond.

Native American Parent Advisory Committee

The Native American Parent Advisory Committee was formed in accordance to the Title VI (formerly Title VII) Indian Education Formula Grant requirements and regulations. The  grant supports three Title VI Counselors that work with students in grades K-12.  Students/Families must fill out a 506 form to be eligible for the count.

The purpose of the grant is to assist Native American students in improving student achievement. Over the years of the grant the Title Vl  Native American Advisory Committee has identified goals of: increased school attendance rate, increased academic achievement, increased college readiness, increased parent participation, increased career readiness, decreased school dropout rate, increased prevention activities for violence, suicide, and substance abuse.
