PSPS Update

10.29.2019 - All Ukiah Unified schools will be closed on Wednesday, October 30, 2019. We will open schools as soon as possible after the power is back on, but at this time, we do not know when that may happen. UUSD is working closely with the City of Ukiah, Mendocino County Office of Emergency Services (OES), and PG&E to monitor our current situation.

Public Safety Power Shutoff (PSPS) Information

10.25.2019 - Ukiah Unified has been informed that the City of Ukiah will likely lose power for up to 5 days during the PSPS event starting this weekend. If the power goes out in Ukiah, we will close all schools. We will communicate up to date information as we receive it through email, phone calls, texts, on our website, and on our Facebook page. Thank you for your patience and understanding during this challenging time.

Carolyn Barrett Named ACSA Retired Administrator of the Year

Ukiah Unified School District (UUSD) is proud to announce that UUSD Trustee, Carolyn Barrett, has been named Region 4 Retired Administrator of the Year by The Association of California School Administrators (ACSA). Through their annual awards program, ACSA honors students, administrators, and community organizations for their achievements and their dedication to public education.

UHS Underwater Robotics Teams Place Well at Nationals

On June 1-2, two Ukiah High School teams represented Northern California at the SeaPerch Challenge competition held at the University of Maryland College Park. The “Torque Team” finished 7th and “H2Bros” finished 29th out of 84 high school teams.

UUSD Board of Trustees Vacancies Announced

Ukiah Unified School District (UUSD) has announced that due to Trustees moving outside of the area in which they were elected, there will be two vacancies on the UUSD Board of Trustees. Board Member Fernandez, representing Trustee Area North, resigned effective June 14, 2019, and Board Member Monpere, representing Trustee Area Central, resigned effective June 30, 2019.
