Ukiah High School Sees Sharp Decline in Cockroach Population

The Ukiah High School campus has far fewer cockroaches than
it did a year ago.

Last year, in an effort to manage a Turkestan cockroach infestation, Ukiah Unified
School District (UUSD) began working with scientists from the California Department of Pesticide Regulation as well as Dr. Andrew Sutherland from the University of California Cooperative Extension.

Local Students Participate in Intensive Healthcare Internship

This summer, 10 local high school students spent 14 days immersed in an intensive healthcare internship called Healthcare Education Summer Institute (HESI).
Ukiah Unified teachers Jonica Crook and Ben O’Neill accompanied the students as they completed three-hour clinical rotations in 10 different departments: Surgery, Intensive Care Unit, Medical/Surgical (MedSurg), Emergency Department, Labor and Delivery, Laboratory, Respiratory Therapy, Physical Therapy, Wound Care, and Medical Imaging.

Ukiah High School Earns 2016 Honor Roll Designation

Ukiah Unified School District is proud to announce that Ukiah High has been named an Honor Roll school for the 2016 California Honor Roll presented by Educational Results Partnership (ERP) and the Campaign for Business and Education Excellence (CBEE).

UUSD Offers Several 2017 Summer School Programs

Ukiah Unified School District (UUSD) is offering a variety of summer school programs, allowing students from transitional kindergarten through high school to make up academic credit, reinforce their understanding of academic subject matter, or accelerate their education.
