Before we get too far into the new school year, we have one more achievement from June worth celebrating!
Thirteen Ukiah High School students graduated from the Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) program, an accomplishment that prepares them to pursue employment in the healthcare field. They were among 26 graduates recognized during a June 18 ceremony at Mendocino College.
Congratulations to UHS graduates Paola Arroyo, Guadalupe Ayala Gonzalez, Harper Henderson, Joselyn Lua Alatorre, Alysa Mavrakis, Cassius Mayhugh, Natalia Pedrotti, Amy Raya, Lillianne Thies, Yasmin Valadez Trejo, Fatima Valencia Zamora, Adrian Vasquez and Vincent Vega.
The program, offered through Mendocino County Office of Education Career & College Programs in conjunction with Ukiah Unified School District, combines classroom and clinical training. Local clinical partners Ukiah Post Acute and Northbrook Healthcare Center helped provide the hands-on portion of the students' education.
Congratulations to our UHS students and all 26 graduates on reaching this important milestone!
