Law enforcement training June 23-25, 2026

Ukiah Unified School District is partnering with the California Highway Patrol (CHP) and other law enforcement agencies to host emergency response training exercises at Eagle Peak Middle School during summer break on June 23–25, 2026.

The training is designed to help first responders practice coordinated emergency response procedures in a realistic school environment when students and staff are not present. Activities will include classroom and hallway response drills as well as scenario-based exercises.

During the afternoon portions of the training, community members in the area may hear loud noises associated with simulated emergency response scenarios. These exercises will utilize blank rounds as part of the training. Emergency vehicles will also be present on campus throughout the exercise. No actual emergency is occurring.

The California Highway Patrol is leading the training and coordinating with local public safety partners. Public safety dispatch centers and partner agencies will be notified of the exercise schedule.

The training provides valuable opportunities for first responders to strengthen emergency preparedness and response capabilities in school settings. We appreciate the partnership of our law enforcement agencies as they work to enhance the safety and security of our schools and community.

Thank you for your support.
