Important Graduation Guidelines: Let’s Celebrate Together, Respectfully
Graduation season is a time of pride, celebration, and unforgettable memories for our students and their families alike. To ensure a safe, welcoming, and dignified experience for everyone in attendance, we kindly ask for your cooperation with the following guidelines:
🎓 Confetti Cannons and Noise Makers are NOT ALLOWED.
While we understand the excitement of the moment, these items pose serious concerns:
-
Confetti Cannons require significant clean-up between ceremonies and may delay subsequent graduations. More importantly, the loud charge they release can sound like gunfire – an alarming and unwelcome disruption at any public gathering, especially at school events.
-
Noise Makers such as air horns and cowbells can overpower the reading of graduates' names, preventing other families from hearing and cherishing their student’s moment.
For the respect of every graduate and family, signs will be posted and security will screen for these items upon entry. Anyone who discharges confetti or noise devices during the ceremony may be approached by security staff.
We sincerely hope to avoid stricter measures in the future, such as clear bag policies or formal bag checks, by working together now to preserve the joyful, respectful spirit of graduation.
Let’s give every student the honor they deserve. Thank you for helping make this year’s graduations safe, smooth, and memorable for all.
