As we step into a new year, it's time to prepare for your child's epic educational journey! We are excited to announce that enrollment for Transitional Kindergarten (TK) and Kindergarten (K) for the 2024-25 school year is now open from January 9, 2024, through March 31, 2024. For Grace Hudson, our dual language elementary school, enrollment ends on February 15, 2024, to allow for an enrollment lottery.
Who is Eligible?
Children turning five between September 2, 2024, and June 2, 2025, are eligible for Transitional Kindergarten. Children turning five by September 1, 2024, are eligible for Kindergarten. More details are available on our website or by visiting a school.
Why Register Now?
Registering early is essential for us to plan for next year's staffing and scheduling. Our prime hiring window for high-quality educators is in March. Plus, registration allows us to start communicating with you and inviting you to open houses to meet the teachers.
How to Register:
We recommend parents register using our online enrollment process, available via our website, uusd.net. Families without access to the internet or who prefer in-person registration can register directly at their school’s office. Gathering the following information ahead of time makes the process easier:
- Emergency Contacts
- Birth Certificate
- Proof of Residence (utility bill, lease agreement, etc.)
- Immunization Records
- Pertinent Medical Information
Special Note for Grace Hudson Applicants:
Remember the earlier deadline for Grace Hudson School. Your application should be complete and submitted by February 15, 2024.
