Ukiah, CA – At the Board of Trustees meeting on Monday, October 9, 2023, the Ukiah Unified Board of Trustees passed a Resolution to sell the Redwood Valley Elementary School. Resolution No. 07, 2023-24 declares the District’s Intent to Sell Surplus Real Property and Calls for Bids for 700 School Street, Assessor’s Parcel Numbers 163-060-15 and 163-060-35.

The Property will be offered for sale for the same amount as previously offered, not less than $900,000. The District has extended the amount of time for bidders to submit sealed bids from sixty (60) to ninety (90) days. Therefore, bidders are required to submit sealed bids no later than 4:30 p.m. on January 18, 2024. Bids should be sent to the District Service Center Boardroom, 511 S. Orchard Avenue, Ukiah, CA 95482.

At the January 18, 2024, Board meeting, the District will open sealed bids and also call for oral bids. The Property will be sold as is. Bidders will be required to agree to the District’s standard form of Purchase and Sale Agreement. The Closing Date for the acquisition has been extended from sixty (60) days to ninety (90) days following the effective date of the Purchase and Sale Agreement entered into by and between the District and the winning bidder. The District has retained the right to reject all bids. 

A Pre-Bid Meeting is scheduled for prospective bidders at the Property on Wednesday, October 25, 2023, at 10:00 a.m. The District will conduct a walk-through of the Property and provide site-specific information to prospective bidders.
