One of Ukiah Unified School District’s initiatives is to implement strategies to enable our English Learners to transition quickly and successfully to challenging academic courses. The English Learner and Migrant Education department coordinates services for English Learners and Migrant Education students, and facilitates the District English Learner Advisory Committee (DELAC) and the Migrant Education Parent Advisory Committee (PAC). In addition, the department provides staff with professional development to support English Learners in their acquisition of English and academic success.
